Friday Plans

What a great trip we have had. I think our ministry has been effective both toward the children we were working with and the brothers and sisters from Hope Baptist who have been watching. They plan to run their own VBS type program in the park in September using the model that we have demonstrated this week. I am excited that much of what we did will not stop when we leave, but will continue- modified to meet the specific needs of their church.

Thanks to email and facebook, we do not have to lose touch with our new friends and translators. We look forward to continuing our friendships from afar until we meet again.

It will be very hard to say goodbye to Will. Someone was already asking last night how many tissues we can round up. We loaded him up last night with all the snacks we brought but didn't eat. I think he will be living at the church until Wednesday when the apartment will be cleaned up and ready for him.

This may be the last time we are able to post until we reach Vienna on Sunday. We are unsure about internet access in Budapest. So don't worry if you don't hear from us tomorrow.

Weather- It was clear but hot. While we were at the Center with the children it was cool and we were in the shade, so we were very comfortable. In the afternoon for shopping it was very hot.

Food-
Breakfast- same as usual
Lunch- Chicken Soup, cole slaw, roast pork, potatoes, small pastries, and going-away cake (decorated like the American flag)
Dinner- pizza

What we learned-
You can run the washer and dryer in the apartment at the same time- regardless of what the list of rules on the wall says.

This is the best mission team ever!

How to pray-
Pray for safe travel by land, sea, and air (especially the bus trips- sure glad I'm not driving!)

Pray that our ministry would not end in Resita, but be carried through Timisoara, Budapest, Vienna, Washington D.C. and all points in between.

For the brothers and sisters at Hope Baptist and that the materials and ministry ideas that we shared with them would grow under God's leadership into something unique and wonderful at their church. Next time we return, they'll be teaching us how to do children's and women's ministry!

Thank you very much for your interest and prayers while we have been in Romania! We will update the blog with our return story and lots of pictures when we get home.

Pe curand,
Sara
